Wilson Wong new Associate Dean, Academic Systems

On Feb. 6, Wilson Wong began his new role as Associate Dean of Academic Systems. Wilson鈥檚 new job is responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of Academic Systems鈥 office services, including areas like admissions, information, records, registration, credit continuing education, and transmission.

Wilson has been at the College since 2008 and brings extensive experience in managing complex operations and working with teams of varying sizes.

He has served in a variety of roles at Dawson. Most recently, Wilson was Associate Dean of Continuing Education and Community Services (CECS). Prior to that, he was Interim Dean of CECS and Associate Dean and Interim Dean of Science, Medical Studies and Engineering.

Wilson has also taught Computer Science at Dawson, and various courses at Champlain College and Vanier College. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bell Canada, where he honed his leadership and organizational skills.

Wilson holds a master鈥檚 in business administration from Concordia University and is passionate about fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the Dawson community. He is committed to giving his time to extracurricular projects that benefit students outside of his day job. For more than 30 years, Wilson has volunteered with the Educational Alliance for Science & Technology to organize regional science fairs and robotics competitions.

Reflecting on his journey, Wilson shared: 鈥淚t has been a great experience to work with incredible sectors and wonderful teams throughout my time at Dawson. I鈥檓 truly grateful for the collaboration and support I鈥檝e received, and I look forward to working with the next team to continue building on our successes.鈥
