Have you started planning your course IN French?

Share

Join a group of teachers to reflect on and share strategies for student engagement and evaluation in this new context of teaching in French. The implementation of strategies can be done within specific education, complementary or Humanities courses.

To support teachers, there are two new workshops being offered in March:

Strategies for engaging learning activities (bilingue) by Jeff Gandell & Chantale Giguère (March 18 and March 27)

In this workshop, participants will reflect together on challenges of teaching and learning IN French. They will explore strategies to develop engaging learning activities and will start implementing them by developing /adapting an activity for their own course.

Évaluer EN français et non LE français (bilingual) by Laurent Duval & Einat Idan (March 27)

This pedagogical workshop aims to help teachers design assessments that are accessible for all students, overcoming language barriers in courses IN French. We will explore how different assessments might mitigate the new context of teaching students with varying levels of French, while still evaluating competency development. During the workshop, participants will be guided to create their own evaluation rubric that is tailored to the intended learning outcomes of their course and the linguistic diversity of their students.
