Artists in Bloom raises over $11,000 for Living Campus!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the talented student artists at the 25th edition of Artists in Bloom!
Congratulations to all the talented artists who created works of art over a two-hour period, and put on a fantastic live artistry show. Special thank you to radio host Donna Saker of The Beat 92.5 for auctioning off the beautiful artwork, and Dawson students Mathew Anania and Alessia Vigna for their live musical performances.
The event has raised over $11,000 which will go to support Dawson鈥檚 sustainability activities under the Living Campus fund.
Students learn leadership skills and make lasting friendships at Model UN

About 60 students were able to participate in the 张百乔女友裸照 Model United Nations (DCMUN) para-academic activity this year thanks in part to funding from the Student Academic Enrichment Fund of the Dawson Foundation.
Model UN has a long history at 张百乔女友裸照, with the activity running on and off since the late 1990s. The current iteration of DCMUN was established in the 2010-2011 academic year and has been running ever since.

Call for proposals open until May 7 for Student Academic Enrichment Fund

Dawson employees and current students can apply for funding for projects beginning in the Fall 2023 semester from Wednesday, April 19 through Sunday, May 7.
Up to $40,000 is available for projects commencing in the Fall 2023 semester. The objective is to fund approximately eight to ten projects. There is a new option available which allows applicants to request up to 3 years of funding for recurring projects.
In order to be considered, projects must:
- Demonstrate a clear benefit for Dawson students
- Represent an activity that goes over and above core competencies for completion of a DEC
- Staff and students are encouraged to send in their applications, which will need to include a project description and cost estimate.

Dawson Golf Classic sells out: waiting list now open!

The 25th annual Artists in Bloom art auction will be taking place on Thursday, April 20 in 3C.1 with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and painting beginning at 6 p.m. The money raised this year will be going to Dawson鈥檚 Living Campus/Sustainability.
We are returning to the live event that you all have come to know and love. There will also be an online component (link to be available starting April 11) where you can purchase your ticket for the event as well as prints designed by Illustration students.
Printed tickets can now be purchased in the following locations: 4A.1 (cash only) and 2E.6 (cash or card).
We will also be in the Upper Atrium (in front of escalators) from April 11-14 and 17-19 for tickets and/or prints.

Dawson community mobilizing to identify 1,000 species in 1,000 days

All students and employees at 张百乔女友裸照 are invited to join an initiative to identify 1,000 species in 1,000 days on Dawson鈥檚 downtown Montreal campus.
鈥淲e believe that identifying 1,000 species is possible but does pose a significant challenge,鈥 said Brian Mader, project lead and a biology teacher at Dawson. 鈥淲e invite all students and employees to join . The more people from our community who participate, the higher the chances of reaching our goal. This project will also nurture our Dawson community and encourage people to go outside and enjoy Nature.鈥

Four Dawson students presented abstract at Lunar and Planetary Science conference

When it was time to submit an abstract to the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Texas, the Dawson student team was not sure which category described them best.
鈥淚 think we are the first CEGEP students to present research at the LPI! Undergraduate was the category closest to us,鈥 said Darcy Loane-Billings (Pure & Applied Science), lead author of the abstract and second-year student at Dawson.

25th Edition of Artists in Bloom is April 20

Springtime means that Artists in Bloom is back! The event will be in-person on Thursday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m. in 3C.1 It will also be possible to buy prints online from April 11-28. This year will be the fundraising event鈥檚 25th annual edition鈥 a quarter century! We are excited to welcome you to the event and to see what our talented student artists will produce. Advance tickets are only $20 and will be for sale as of Monday, March 27 in 2E.6 and 4A.1 Your ticket gives you entrance to the event, one drink and hors d'oeuvres.
