Ahead of their guest appearance at a Dawson Reads event on March 22, Arizona O鈥橬eill (Fine Arts, 2013) and Heather O鈥橬eill (Social Science, 1992) shared some thoughts on their Dawson experiences, the creative process and writing. The disappearance of Rakel, a young Norwegian girl, while on an exchange trip to Italy sends her friends and family into a whirlwind of emotions. As the days pass and the tension rises, they are faced with unknown emotions and grief, all reacting in different ways while confronting the harsh reality of the world they live in. Watching Shadows is performed by the second-year students and directed by Stefanie Buxton.
The play runs from Wednesday, March 22 鈥� Saturday, March 25 at 8 p.m. at Dawson's Theatre.

In 2022-2023, SPACE held its fifth annual writing competition. Students from all disciplines across 张百乔女友裸照 were invited to submit writing that offered a personal interpretation of this year鈥檚 theme,聽?听The submissions were divided into three categories鈥撯�損rose (fiction and creative non-fiction), poetry and essay鈥撯�揳nd were judged in a blind fashion by Lois Valliant (retired Faculty, Fine Arts) and Hannah Rahimi (Faculty, English).
Entries were evaluated according to originality and depth of thought, style, arts-sciences connections and relation to the theme. The winners received gift certificates from Argo Bookstore, and the winners and honourable mentions have been published and highlighted in the SPACE web magazine.

A fun and free event promoting well-being for all and physical fitness is coming to Dawson Wednesday, March 29 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. in 3C.1.
Students are invited to for . The program includes Pound (鈥渞ocking out鈥�) fitness sessions, glow-in-the-dark yoga, free snacks and fun. If there is space, staff are also welcome to attend.
鈥淭he VIB tour only makes a few campus stops every year so I think Dawson students are lucky to have this opportunity,鈥� said Julie Gosselin of Student Health Services, Dawson鈥檚 VIB coordinator. The event is sponsored by the RSEQ, Sports Experts and the Quebec Government.

On March 10, a very special and intimate evening was held at Dawson to honour a true legend in the world of jazz, pianist Dr. Oliver Jones. The event was a resounding success, with representatives from the college and the community coming together to pay tribute to Jones' inspiring life and legacy for promoting future generations pursue post-secondary education.

笔补蝉蝉补驳别听by Christopher Chen follows the residents of two countries, Country X, which is occupied by Country Y, as they form unlikely friendships. The play investigates colonialism, and mysticism, and asks if friendships can be formed when there is a power imbalance or among warring factions. Inspired by the novel, 鈥淎 Passage to India.鈥� Passage is performed by second-year students and directed by Matt Enos.

Honouring legendary Montrealer and musician Oliver Jones and inspiring students are the objectives of a special evening being organized by members of Dawson鈥檚 Legacy Club with support from Dawson staff, including the Campus Life and Leadership team, Community, Recreation and Leadership Training, Continuing Education and Community Services and the Communications Office.
鈥淥liver grew up in the Little Burgundy neighbourhood, home to the historic Union United Church, which is very close to the former Selby Campus of 张百乔女友裸照," said Simeon Pompey of the organizing committee. "Through his work/fame, he has influenced a lot of young Black people in Little Burgundy and Montreal to pursue higher education. It is very fitting that the College has endorsed the initiative to honour him.
鈥淒irectly and indirectly, young people鈥檚 lives were positively impacted. Through his charity work, Dr. Jones supported initiatives to help youth pursue post-secondary education.鈥�
The evening will include performances, tributes and opportunities for students to ask Dr. Jones questions. There will be guests from community organizations but the VIPs will be Black Dawson students and students who are personally invited.
