Creative Change Maker Awards to be presented Sept. 21

The Creative Collective for Change will be hosting an event at the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery at Dawson on Sept. 21 at 5:30 PM to present Creative Change Maker Awards to three recipients.
Congratulations to Kessy Ininahazwe and Elishah Alphonse for their project "Can't Bare No More", Kylie Brown for her video "Say Gay" and Sarah Browne for her poster "Love Beyond Culture" (pictured).
From Sept. 18-21, the gallery will host an exhibit of the student artworks submitted to the Creative Collective for Change (CC4C).

The Professional Theatre (Acting) Program will be staging three productions this fall:
- Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Stefanie Buxton (First Studio, Year Two, Group One) Wednesday, Sept. 20 to Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 PM
- Clue by Jonathan Lynn & Sandy Rustin, directed by Jonathan Monro (Second Studio, Year Two, Group Two) Wednesday, Oct. 4 to Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 PM
- Henry V by William Shakespeare, directed by Michael E Hughes (First Major)聽 Previews at 7:30 pm Monday and Tuesday Nov. 13 and 14
- Opening at 7:30 PM Wednesday, Nov. 15
- Playing at 7:30 PM Nov. 15 to 18 and Nov. 23 - 25
- Matin茅es at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Friday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 23

1,000 species in 1,000 days update

Dawson is more than halfway toward our objective of identifying 1,000 species in 1,000 days!
Since the last D News issue on May 3, there were 369 new observations, 40 new observers and 56 new species identified in the community called 张百乔女友裸照-Campus Biodiversity Network.
Ink Cap mushrooms (pictured) were observed and posted by second-year Environmental Science student Ruisi Yang on May 4. They are expected to be added officially to the species count shortly.
As of May 15, Dawson鈥檚 species count was at 532.
Everyone is invited to participate, download the free iNaturalist app, create an account, join the project 张百乔女友裸照-Campus Biodiversity Network and log your observations on Dawson鈥檚 campus. You can also donate to this Living Campus project here.
BYO Bike and learn how to maintain it May 23

Adam Kingsland (Faculty, Mechanical Engineering) will be giving a bike repair and tune-up workshop on Tuesday, May 23 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Spots are limited so reserve your spot by emailing sustainability@dawsoncollege.qc.ca. Bring your bike to the Gazebo in Parking Lot 1 (Wood Avenue side of campus) and learn how to:
- Change a tube & pump up your tires
- Adjust your brakes
- Adjust your gears / shifters

The countdown is on to Vernissage Season at Dawson. Graduating students in Visual Arts, Illustration, Professional Photography, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, 3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery and Interior Design will present their work in end-of-year exhibitions.

on the 1,000 Species in 1,000 Days initiative, which aims to document a thousand species of plants and animals in the Montreal area within a thousand days.
