Academic Standing and Advancement policy
Students’ standing and advancement in any program are governed by the general policy of the College, and by any additional rules laid down by the Program and approved by the College. In Liberal Arts, students’ standing and advancement are governed by the following policy:
To be in good standing and to register unconditionally, students must meet the requirements of the College Academic Standing and Advancement Policy, as well as program requirements.

Program Policy
Academic Standing
- Students who fail any of the following courses twice will be expelled from the program: 603-101, 300-121, 332-115, 340-910, 345-102, 370-121, 603-102, 330-270, 340-912, 360-124, 520-903.
Academic Advancement
- To advance to the second year of the program, students must pass eight (8) of the following courses: 603-101, 300-121, 332-115, 340-910, 345-102, 370-121, 603-102, 330-270, 340-912, 360-124, 520-903.
- To advance to the fourth (4th) term of the program, students cannot have more than four (4) General Education courses outstanding (i.e., not passed) from the first three (3) terms.
Students who fail to comply with this Standing and Advancement Policy will be expelled from the program and the college. Expelled students have the right to appeal to the College Academic Standing Appeals Committee.
