Exit Profile
The Diagnostic Imaging Technology Exit Profile is informed from private and public health sector needs, the 张百乔女友裸照 Graduate Profile, the program meta-competencies, the overarching goals of college education, and the general education competencies. It describes the integration of knowledge, skills, and attitudes a student will have upon completion of the program.
Graduates of the Diagnostic Imaging Technology Program will have acquired the professional skills, attitudes, knowledge, and judgement for responsible citizenship and entry into the medical imaging profession.
Upon successful completion of the Diagnostic Imaging Technology Program, graduates will be able to:
- Play an integral role in the detection of injury and disease by performing diagnostic examinations as well as assisting in therapeutic procedures using a variety of medical imaging modalities and computer systems [radiographic units, radioscopic units, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and basic use of ultrasound (US).
- Make decisions based on the interpretation and analysis of information related to the patient鈥檚 prescription, medical chart, and technical data to produce medical images of optimal diagnostic value for all regions of the human body.
- Ensure the well-being of patients undergoing medical imaging examinations and procedures by providing humanized care through cultural sensitivity, respect for different world views, and empathy for patients and their families.
- Analyze image quality and respond appropriately to maintain ongoing quality assurance in the clinical setting.
- Ensure the protection of patients, co-workers, the public, the environment, and one鈥檚 self by integrating safe work principles and procedures into practice.
- Adapt to a variety of clinical situations, work environments, and rapidly evolving technology and professional practices.
- Act with professional integrity, in accordance with the principles of responsible practice and ethical behavior set forth in the professional codes of ethics and conduct, the standards of professional practice, and the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
- Use effective communication when interacting with a diverse patient population, their families, health care providers, and other stakeholders to contribute to quality patient care.
