Please refer to Bylaw 8: Concerning the Promotion of Academic Success in English or French.
Program Policy
Academic Standing
- Students who fail the same Animation Discipline (574) course twice will be expelled from the program.
- Students who fail 4 or more courses in a semester will be expelled from the program.
Advancement
- Students must pass all Animation Discipline (574) courses in the first term in order to advance to second term.
- Students must pass all first and second year Specific Education (concentration) courses and at least eight (8) General Education courses before proceeding to the fifth term of the program.
Students will have their status reviewed at the end of each semester. Students who fail to meet the criteria set by this Standing and Advancement Policy will be expelled from the Program and the College. Expelled students retain the right to appeal the expulsion decision to the college Academic Standing Appeals Committee.
Students who are re-admitted to the Program following an appeal are required to remain in good standing for two consecutive semesters in order to remain in the Program.
In cases where students are missing some courses, they may be permitted to advance provided the Program Coordinator has approved a Plan of Studies that will allow students to be in phase by the end of the sixth term.
