Sustainable Campuses: Sharing our Knowledge for Social and Environmental Sustainability
An important challenge facing post secondary institutions聽today is how to transform themselves into agents for sustainability. The Sustainable Campuses: Sharing our聽knowledge for Social and Environmental Sustainability聽is an initiative that works to encourage this transformation聽through the sharing of knowledge and experience聽between educational institutions of the North and the聽South. Through a collaborative and participatory action聽research approach this initiative seeks to identify factors聽that support institutional sustainability in post secondary聽institutions. Our finndings propose that a supportive administration,聽engaged faculty and empowered students are聽important drivers for institutional sustainability.
