What you need to know
The ATE program is a collaborative approach to training. Alternating between study cycles and work cycles students enhance their education by gaining practical, relevant experience.
Benefits to the Employer
Hosting a student requires work on the part of the employer. What benefits do employers receive through hosting a student?
- Tax credit for the student鈥檚 wage and the supervisor鈥檚 wage
- Interns can bring new ideas to a team
- Your input will help ensure students learn in-demand skills
Participation Guidelines
- Internships must be full-time (minimum of 28 hours a week)
- Interns must be paid
- For the 2020 Summer practicum the employment period must be at least 140 hours over 4 weeks.
