Social Service KAIROS Blanket Exercise
March 28th, 2019°Õ³ó±ðÌýÌý°´¡±õ¸é°¿³§-µþ±ô²¹²Ô°ì±ð³Ù-·¡³æ±ð°ù³¦¾±²õ±ð³å±á¾±²õ³Ù´Ç°ù²âÌýhas proven to be extremely successful as an activity for students to understand the history of Indigenous dispossession and struggle in Canada and to reflect on the intergenerational impact of colonization on individuals, families, and communities. It is an experiential exercise that fully engages all participants in a process of connecting with a reality, not only on an intellectual level, but also on an emotional level. This activity will help our students to better understand this history, and to understand their place within it as individuals and as future Social Service Workers.
