Illustration & Design: Field Trip to Printers

Field trip to  (Lithography Presses)  (Large Format Silkscreen Presses) printers in the South Shore area. The students will be able to see how silk screening, lithography and large format digital printing is done in our industry.  A survey will be given to the students for them to evaluate their experience.

Project Update

Twenty-six  Illustration & Design third year graduating students along with Pauline Fresco and Neal Armstrong went on a field trip to Graphiscan (Lithography Presses) and also to Mirazed Serigraphie (Large Format Silkscreen Presses) printers in the South Shore area. The students were be able to see how silk screening, lithography and large format digital printing is done in our industry. We also stopped at Poutineville in Longueuil for lunch in between the trip, which Poutineville agreed to give all our students a 15% discount for lunch that day. The students had an educational, enriching and bonding experience.This field trip allowed the students to experience and gain knowledge first hand about the different types of printing. It also gave them a clear understanding of how they should prepare their work for printing purposes according to industry standards.
