New Intensive French Courses (FEQ)

March 24th, 2025

Dawson's Centre for Training and Development is pleased to announce our new set of intensive French courses ("FEQ"), aligned with the 脡chelle qu茅b茅coise des niveaux de comp茅tence de fran莽ais.

Students needing to pass a TEF exam for graduation or immigration purposes will benefit from our evaluation-focused courses.

Levels available: 4, 5, 6, 7 *

Schedule: May 22 - June 18, 9 AM - 3 PM

*Before finalizing registration, there is mandatory placement test administered by TEF-certified evaluators.

On Jan. 24, we had the pleasure of welcoming Odile Fort, International Projects Manager from the Paris 脦le-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Paris IDF), to our campus. Dawson, in collaboration with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP), is proud to be an accredited testing centre for TEF, TEFaQ, and TEF Canada….

IVGD Program Hosting Bimonthly Free Playtest Event

April 9th, 2024

The Independent Video Game Design program is holding our bimonthly free indie game playtesting event on Friday, April 12 from 6 PM-9 PM in 3C.1 at Dawson.

The event will showcase games created by graduates and students from the IVGD program and by local developers.

Come play video games and learn more about the different ways to get into the local game industry. Faculty members from the IVGD program will be on site to provide information and answer questions about our classes and our unique approach to teaching independent game development!

New AEC in Cyber Security

March 27th, 2024

Dawson is launching a new AEC in Cyber Security: Prevention and Intervention to meet the growing demand for jobs in the workforce in Quebec, Canada and the world.

Susie Bouchard of Dawson鈥檚 Continuing Education and Community Services expects to welcome the first students in the fall of 2024, probably in November.

Great attendance at IVGD playtesting event

March 1st, 2024

The Independent Video Game Design program held its bimonthly indie game playtesting event on Feb. 23.

Over 100 attendees and students visited throughout the evening to playtest and provide valuable feedback on a variety of games from local developers, while getting the chance to network with the gaming community.

14 teams showcased new games in various stages of development, including IVGD alumni 脡tienne Robichaud Morinville, Julien Escobar Hellou, Steven Steffen, Yan-Simon Martel Lussier, as well as IVGD co-founder and teacher Osama Dorias.

The event also included games by Baobab Games, DarZal Games, F茅lix Gagn茅, Foolbox Studio, Queensguard Games, Studio Moka, Tales Mariano, Vitam Aeternam Studio, Carbon-Based Games and Kidney Bean Studio.

The next playtesting event will be Friday, April 12, from 6 - 9 PM, in 3C.1.
