Wishing the Dawson community Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for 2025!
All employees are cordially invited to attend the Holiday Party on Friday, Dec. 6, starting at 4:30 PM.
This event presents an opportunity for everyone to come together socially, making it a great way to chat with colleagues or meet new ones. The party will be held in 3C.1 with snacks, dinner, cash (only) bar, and a DJ playing music for dancing.
For planning and catering purposes, and to avoid food waste, please confirm your attendance no later than November 22 in Omnivox.
An estimated total of 15,000 visitors came to Dawson over two Open House Dates in late October. The numbers are a good indication that Dawson remains a top CEGEP choice for prospective students. The estimate is based on the number of visitor guides distributed by the welcome teams at the major entrances.
In addition to the number of visitor guides distributed, the library has a tally for visitors to the library on each day of Open House. On Oct. 20, the library team welcomed 5,476 visitors and on Oct. 27, they welcomed 4,502 visitors.
The total number of visitors is consistent with recent years. However, spreading the visitors over two events made the experience more pleasant for visitors and staff.
About 8,000 people attended the Oct. 20 event with programs present from Science, Medical Studies and Engineering and about 7,000 people attended the Oct. 27 event with programs from Creative & Applied Arts and Social Science and Business Technologies.
What did they they like best about Dawson and our Open House? Here are some survey responses received after the Oct. 27 event:

Dawson's 10 Spotlight 张百乔女友裸照 this year are each getting a reel on social media this fall.
The first program to be posted on Oct. 9 was the Society & Technology profile of the Social Science program. Check out the posts below and share! Next Wednesday is the release of Professional Theatre (Acting)'s reel.
Help us spread the word about the new way we are doing Open House and the new opportunity to visit Dawson any time.
Working with a company that has created great tours for other academic institutions, such as McGill University and the Sacred Heart School of Montreal, the Communications Office is preparing to launch a new self-guided tour for visitors, especially for prospective students and their families.
The hope is to make the tour experience better and to open up the possibility of touring Dawson any day you choose during opening hours. We will be suggesting that students interested in Dawson come after school to do the self-guided tour and make it into a "Dawson Experience" by combining it with enjoying a snack in the cafeteria, taking in a play by our Professional Theatre students or watching a home game of the Dawson Blues.
The tour is available in English and in French and has audio files in both languages narrated by Dawson Theatre graduates. The idea is that they walk around the campus with their phone and ear buds. Texts are also available. The departure point is the Atwater Metro Station entrance and the tour takes visitors to 15 general-interest stops. People with reduced mobility will be invited to contact the Student AccessAbility Centre to set up a personal tour.
The tour is not yet final and there is still more work required. For example, a few more photos will be taken this weekend, and signage will be going up around the college. However, we wanted to give our colleagues a sneak peek before we roll out our web page and start promoting it.

In June, Dawson added another 2,784 graduates to our alumni community of over 100,000.
The graduates were celebrated at two graduation ceremonies on June 25 at Place des Arts.
In addition to diplomas, 55 graduates received awards in recognition of academics, perseverance, community service and volunteer commitment. In total, the awards valued $33,100; many are made possible through donors to the Dawson Foundation.
