Building History
At one point in the not-too-distant past, the College occupied rented space in 11 buildings, spread throughout the downtown area, spanning from De Lorimier in the east, to Du Couvent in the west.
All that changed in 1988, when Dawson consolidated many of its programs and services in the completely renovated former Mother House of the Congr茅gation de Notre-Dame.
The completion of Phases I and II allowed for a reduction of six rented buildings. Phase III in 1991 reduced this number by three more. Phase IV in 1996 added new wings, including state-of-the-art labs, computer facilities, as well for the first time in its history, Dawson had a true sports complex. Phase V in 2007 allowed the Drama Department to move into a new on-site theater.
