Applied Application Software 1

Description:
This course covers the application software utilized in the field of accounting and bookkeeping for small enterprises who cannot afford the big application packages. A significant portion of this course relates to the use of electronic spreadsheets and application software for business computations. This course also applies the mathematical knowledge and skills developed in the Financial Calculations course.
Using the knowledge and skills acquired in Accounting I, students will develop their analytical skills with additional bookkeeping procedures to deal with transactions that focus on the detailed aspects of specific components of the financial statements. Electronic spreadsheet applications and accounting software will be an integral component of the course.

Description:
This course continues to build advanced skills related to electronics spreadsheets for business related computations and applies the mathematical knowledge and skills developed in the Financial Calculations course. In addition, the TurboTax software for personal income taxes will be examined . A significant component of this course is dedicated to developing practical skills in presentation and word processing software.
Students will build on the knowledge, skills and bookkeeping procedures developed in the previous accounting courses to handle more complex topics in financial accounting. Electronic spreadsheet applications and accounting software will be an integral component of the course.

Description:
This course will bank on the knowledge and skills students developed in the first course to be able to handle teamwork and deal with clients, managers, suppliers and co-workers. It will also enable students better understand and use basic French business terminology.
This course will build on the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous course to handle more involved transactions and to produce supporting documents and reports from the computerized accounting system.
